» Quick update
We’ve been pretty quiet on the blog updates recently, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been extremely busy behind the scenes!
The Questionnaire results which our customers gave us last month have been compiled together, and we are working through every single comment and trying to implement them the best we can. This may take a while, but hoping everything will be done in a couple of weeks time. Stay tuned!

» The Big Rice Fund
Whilst checking up on our customers websites one of them really caught my eye.
One of our latest customers is a charity which aims to help put an end to world hunger. The goal seems hard, but the effort involved is very simple. Just a quick download of the programme onto your machine, which counts your key presses and adds up the amount of rice you are giving. You will also seem to be able to donate through the website soon, and sounds like a brilliant idea. Definitely has gotten my support and will be supporting them throughout.
The website link is www.bigricefund.org.uk and is worth a quick visit. Although not finished, I’d assume it’ll be up and running soon*
*Note: I am in no affiliation with the website other than we host it, so our information may be incorrect. If you’d like to correct this info, just contact us via our support helpdesk!

» My “vacation”
This weekend I decided to take a trip up along the east coast mainline to Newcastle. An utterly beautiful city with fantastic architecture (my 2nd favourite place after Bath so far).
Whilst travelling, it was nice to pass places where some of our main customers are from - Stopping at Doncaster Station, with one of our customers based at Station Road. Unfortunately i was unable to get off and come face to face with this customer, but it was nice to know i was only a few metres away from them! Newcastle, Darlington and surroundings are also a large majority of our customer base. I have seen a fair few videos on a couple of our customers sites involving places where i walked through on saturday.
The main reason was purely to see one of my long friends, and to go to a concert at the sage at Gateshead (another amazing building). What I forgot about the north is the people. The majority are cheerful, and talkative and really put a smile on your face. Customer service really feels like number one up there. Much different to the usual beings of the south, and makes you wonder why we don’t always get such fantastic customer service everywhere we go.
This is where Invisional Hosting pride ourselves in. We try and get to know our customers inside out and what they want from us. We endeavour to talk to all our customers, either through support or for a simple talk. We keep things simple and effective, hoping to keep a smile on your face. If only the majority of businesses did that..

» Referrals
We do get many referrals with Invisional Hosting, either because people are proud of our superb service with 100% uptime, that we offer fantastic support (well, I’d like to think we do - the response from customers is always positive), or due to us building a relationship with our customers, but many decide not to take advantage of our referral scheme.
We like rewarding our customers for their loyalty, after all - if they gain us new orders, we gain money, to invest in new technology for our service…it’s a win-win situation. If we receive a new client who has been referred, we give the referral an automatic 5% discount off any future products bought by them - this gets taken away automatically so no need for coupons or vouchers. Everytime a customer is referred by this person, their discount gains by 5%. Best thing about our scheme is that it lasts forever, and covers all products ordered - doesn’t matter if they purchase now with only one product or in 5 years time and 10 products - they’ll receive that discount. Bargain value!
As I love side notes - the “unlimited package” is getting a makeover this week. Stay tuned for an update, soon.

» Websites..
Inbetween answering support tickets and playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (of which I am quite a big fan of), I quite enjoy looking around our customers websites. We do host a range of different sites from internet communities to web designers, christian bookshops to garden centres. All of which truly fascinate me, the different designs and the content on them.
One of my favourite sites at the moment is deeteetee.co.uk, which talks about free-to-air television and whats on the news about the channels and so forth - an extremely handy site for myself, and a great read.
Tomorrow I am out, so may take a while to gain a response if you send a support ticket. Don’t worry though - Tom will be covering, and I’ll be checking up tomorrow evening. I class it as a well deserved break from the past couple of busy weeks ;).
And as a side note - for the people who use our online webmail, we have a new one coming into action in the next few weeks which is much more powerful than the previous one, giving you a look and feel that is more like a Windows mail client. This software will also support IMAP accounts as well.
Have a great weekend!

» Introductions…
Right, to introduce Tom!
Tom has spent a while setting up our brand new blog.
For the people who don’t know, Tom is our main technical monkey. He knows our servers and hosting platform inside out, and if you need technical support - he’s your man! Tom’s mainly behind the scenes and you might not hear much from him, usually because he’s slaving away making our service better value for money and adding more features…he definitely knows what he’s doing!
Thanks for my introduction, Tom… very nice…
More soon, people…
Happy Hosting!
